Kitchen Hardwood Floor Removal
After a pipe leading to the tub in an upstairs bathroom broke, water flooded this first floor kitchen. The ceiling in the adjoining dining room was removed as a result of the leak. The water then ran into this kitchen, affecting the flooring and cabinetry. The lower cabinets had to be detached and discarded as a result of the water damage. The hardwood flooring was also unable to be salvaged due to excessive cupping (a state when the individual wood planks are higher on the edges as compared to the center of the board). The sub-floor underneath was dried after being treated with an anti-microbial. The customer is using this as an opportunity to redesign his kitchen.
